Restless and uncanny, meaning nothing that is good
I ought to turn away from it, but cannot make the choice,
And from the forest shadows, hear my brother’s voice

Everyone knows everyone, yet strangers walk at night;
In an aura of uneasiness that blossoms into fear

Adam has been missing for two years, or maybe more
I cannot quite remember him the way I did before
His timbre fades from memory, his face begins to dim
But I’m absolutely certain it was really him.

There is something in the forest, where the wicked raven flies.
It watches us with malice in its green and glowing eyes.
On the hearts that held the missing, on the people we became,
In the voices it has stolen, it is laying claim.
